The beach in the Prorer Wiek is one of the best on the island. It is 5 km long and up to 40 m wide. The completely fine sand appears white. Water quality is very good. There are also some sections for those who love nudism.
Towards Mukran, on the other side of the quay wall, the beach becomes more and more stony. As you move inland you will come to the flint stone fields.
Beach sections guarded by the water rescue service are located towards Binz. Generally the depth of the water in the bay rises very slowly, but this changes whenever there is a storm.
